Ballinteer St Johns has a thriving adult section across Men's Football, Ladies Football, Hurling and Camogie. Our adult pathway brings players from Minor into senior Gaelic games, while providing competitive opportunities across a range of grades.
Whether you are progressing from our juvenile section, returning to Gaelic games, moving to the area or looking for a new club, there is a place for you at BSJ. Our teams train throughout the season, with league and championship competition forming the core of the playing year.
Men's Football
Men's Football is a major part of adult life at Ballinteer St Johns, with teams providing a pathway from Minor through to senior-level competition. The section combines competitive ambition with a strong club culture, giving players the opportunity to develop, compete and remain involved in Gaelic football throughout adulthood.
Senior Football Our flagship men's football team competes at the highest end of the club pathway. The squad brings together established senior players and emerging talent, with a strong emphasis on performance, preparation and representing BSJ at senior level. | Intermediate & Junior Football Our additional adult football teams are central to the strength of the section. They provide meaningful competitive football for a broad range of players and an important route for developing players moving between Minor and senior grades. | Minor Football Minor is the bridge between juvenile and adult football. Players continue their development in a competitive environment while beginning the transition into the club's adult squads. |
Ladies Football
Our Ladies Football section gives players a clear pathway from Minor into adult football and provides opportunities across multiple competitive grades. The section continues to benefit from players progressing through BSJ's juvenile teams, combining home-grown talent with experienced adult players.
Senior Ladies The Senior Ladies are the leading team in our adult ladies football pathway. The squad combines experience with a strong flow of younger players progressing from Minor and represents BSJ in competitive Dublin league and championship football. | Junior Ladies Our Junior teams provide competitive football and valuable playing opportunities across the adult panel. They are an essential part of player development and help ensure that players can compete at an appropriate level while remaining fully involved in the club. | Minor Ladies Football Our Minor players represent the next generation of adult footballers. Hurling
Hurling has a proud place in Ballinteer St Johns. Our adult teams give players the opportunity to compete in Dublin hurling from Minor through to senior level, with a strong focus on skill, intensity, teamwork and the continued development of players coming through the club.
Senior Hurling Our Senior Hurlers lead the adult hurling section, bringing together experienced players and emerging talent. The team competes in Dublin league and championship competition and provides the performance pathway for aspiring BSJ hurlers. | Junior Hurling The Junior team is a vital part of adult hurling at BSJ, providing competitive matches and a strong development environment for players at different stages of their playing careers. | Minor Hurling Minor Hurling completes the pathway from juvenile to adult competition. Camogie
Adult Camogie at Ballinteer St Johns has developed a strong pathway for players progressing from the club's juvenile and Minor teams. Our squads combine established adult players with emerging talent and offer a supportive, competitive environment in which players can continue to develop their game.
Senior Camogie Our Senior Camogie team represents the top of the BSJ camogie pathway. The squad has competed in the upper levels of Dublin camogie and provides younger players with visible role models and a clear pathway into senior competition. | Intermediate & Junior Camogie Our additional adult camogie teams provide valuable competitive opportunities while helping emerging players make the transition to adult competition. These squads are an important link between Minor and Senior Camogie. | Minor Camogie Minor Camogie is a key development stage in the BSJ pathway, giving players high-quality competitive experience while preparing them for the step into adult camogie. |
