Ballinteer St Johns appoints Kevin Murphy as New Senior Football Manager/Head Coach
Kevin is former Manager of Kilmaine GAA team in Mayo and also Coach to Oughterard GAA Senior football team in Galway. He acted as coaching officer for his own club Ballinrobe GAA (Mayo) and has been involved in the Mayo GAA underage academy and schools coaching with Ballinrobe Community School.
Kevin has relocated to Maynooth and is working in Athlone as Head of National Operations for DPD Ireland (couriers).
Kevin is also a Level 2 Qualified and Accredited GAA coach and Performance Analyst and a UEFA B Soccer Coach.
He has coached and been assistant manager at League of Ireland level with Galway United FC at both 1st team level and underage as well as being a Connacht Schoolboys interprovincial coach for the past 9 years. He has played at all levels up to and including to Senior for his home club Ballinrobe GFC winning county titles at u16,u21 and intermediate levels.
We believe Kevin has a unique skill set, unparalleled passion, the tactical nous and a continuous development mindset to take Ballinteer St Johns GAA Senior Football Team those few steps forward that will take them to the pinnacle of Dublin football and hopefully further whilst building the base of the club simultaneously through dynamic coaching and a defined player pathway through to the senior team.
Kevin’s core management team will also be made up of the following experienced club personnel acting as selectors, coaches and performance analysts;
