Job Description

Part time Schools Coach, Ballinteer St. Johns GAA Club

Are you passionate about player coaching and Gaelic Games and looking for a new challenge? Are you interested in working for a progressive and growing club that has a strong sense of community? If so, this is the role for you!

Ballinteer St. Johns are seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to undertake the role of Part-time Schools Coach. Reporting to the Director of Coach & Player Development, this is a key role to support our player and underage development objectives on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the implementation of the Ballinteer St Johns Coaching & Games Development programme.

Provide Coaching and opportunities to play Gaelic Games in our local schools.

Set up and organise after school blitzes and leagues involving our local schools.

Assist with the Transition Year programme and coordination of Transition Year students in the Schools programme.

Linking the Ballinteer St Johns Nursery programme and the recruitment of players and parents through the Primary Schools programme.

Helping with the setting up, promotion and running of our Camps programme.

What are we looking for?

A passion for Gaelic Games and the values of our Associations.

Previous experience of coaching children and adolescents.

Minimum ICCG qualification, Award 1 Coaching qualification desirable.

Garda vetted and child safeguarding course completed.

Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to develop and learn.
